SOLID WASTE SERVICES

Garbage, Recycling, Bulk, and Yard Waste

To start new garbage, recycling, and yard trimming collection service call 311 or visit www.ATL311.com. Information on what can be recycled is available from Cartlanta Recycling Program.

Garbage and recycling collection occurs weekly. Containers should be placed on curb by 7 p.m. the previous day and removed from curb by 7 p.m. on collection day.

Remember, yard waste will only be picked up if in the proper receptacles which are large paper bags, clear trash bags, and a Herbie Curbie with a yard waste sticker (request them by calling 311) on each side.

Bulk (large items like furniture, appliances, large tree limbs, etc.) waste is picked up in Southeast quadrant during the 2nd week of the month.

The city does not pick up construction debris/wastes such as doors, windows, particle board, shingles, sheet-rock, paint, etc.
